Big Migration Over New Jersey!

Last night was pretty awesome on the radar. Since I have to run to class I’ll let the image do the talking.

This is pretty amazing, yet the reports today did not seem to match the image. Were you able to get field observations?

I didn’t get a report from the Higbee’s dike, but I would think they had a pretty good flight. The radar doesn’t discriminate between species, so this could have been mostly flickers, waxwings, and robins for all I know. Unfortunately less people post when the diversity is low, so it’s hard to tell from the listserve.
