Birds moving over Jersey

The radar showed a good amount of activity last night as the remnants of Jeanne cleared our area and winds took a northerly turn.

Although I do think that some of what you see in the radar is anomalous propagation, the velocity plots confirmed that most of it is birds. Because there is no precipitation over our area to concentrate birds and winds are variable (currently light NW), I’d suspect that birds could be anywhere. My hunch is the coast, but that’s pure speculation.
