Light migration over NJ

The past two nights have seen a light movement of birds over the Garden State. Unfortunately my download hasn’t been working, but I have been checking the real-time site each morning. In the meantime if I see some signs of migration over the area I’ll try and manually download the radar and post it here.

It looks as if the big movement of Yellow-rumps and Kinglets has made their way down to the SE, with the radars in VA, NC, and SC showing huge signals last night.

Here’s the New Jersey radar from 1 hour after sunset last night until sunrise this morning:

  1. Sandra Keller says:

A light morning with only 210 birds around in Cumberland County in
the areas I checked in 4 hours of birding. Half YR Warblers – half
sparrows and other birds. Swamp, White-crowned, White-throated,
Field, Chipping, Song, Savannah, and 1 Vesper. 4 Purple Finches – all
females, 1 Pine and 2 Blackpoll Warblers also around. Quite a few
Brown Thrashers, Ruby-crowned Kinglets, and Winter Wrens around.
Just a few Hermit Thrushes and Golden-crowned Kinglets.
