Little Migration Over NJ

Not much on the radar last night, even though the winds were favorable for migration. Southwest winds prevailed up and down the east coast last night, yet very little migration appeared from New Jersey down through Virginia. Maybe all the birds that were ready to move did so during the last big push, and now the newest additions to the migration pool are still fueling up. The reason for my speculation is a heavy movement out of Massachusetts last night, similar to the one we saw over New Jersey two nights ago. Tonight’s weather looks good for migration and, depending on precipitation, Tuesday and Wednesday nights may be good as well.
