Birds on the move

Some cool migration last night, as far as radar is concerned. Only a small amount of activity immediately after sunset over New Jersey, but what’s neat is that you can see birds enter the radar at two times overnight; the first crossing the Delaware Bay at the north end, and the second from further south along the bay. This morning there was lower diversity at Garret Mountain than was reported yesterday, still it was good for those of us who missed the big day! We had 13 warbler species, and noticed a very high number of Blue-headed Vireos.
