Migration Outlook

The national weather service has given a conservative outlook for the rest of this week and weekend. According to their models, we should experience WSW winds tonight, turning W into the weekend, with a drier airmass behind the remnants of Katrina filling in with NW winds by Sunday. The Intellicast.com forecast is a bit more liberal, with WNW winds slated for Thursday evening. Whenever this northern component gets up and going, we should expect a movement of birds…and since migration has been shut down for a few days, it should be pretty sizable. I’ll post more as the forecasting becomes more accurate.
