Upgrade to WordPress 2.0

I’ve just upgraded the site to WordPress version 2.0. So far the only changes to the front-end are that my images are stacked on top of one another instead of separate side-by-side….oh well. You can still click on them and get the radar loops. Anyway, it has been awhile since I posted, which usually happens between migration seasons, but I think I’ll try and take the time to post some rants in the near future. In the meantime, I’ve just been made aware of Maria and Scott’s flickr site featuring their newborn Lila Birch. I’m including one of her in this post just because she’s just the cutest thing ever!

I hope everyone is having a great kick off of the New Year. Inga and I had a fantastic time over the holiday, travelling down to South Beach, FL to spend xmas-eve with my sisters, Jenn and Lauren, and xmas day with my grandmother, aunt and uncle, and loads of cousins in Port Saint Lucie. The day after xmas we headed up to Inga’s parents in Lavonia, GA where we spent the night and got to introduce our baby to my future in-laws. We then headed up to Asheville, NC to hang out with our friends Toby and Becca for a few days- always an good way to unwind on the regular trip between NJ and FL. Ever since Toby moved to Asheville I’ve been in love with the place…now that he bought a house 15 minutes from Hot Springs (yes, there’s an actual fauit line there with some awesome hot springs!) I’m sold…I told him to keep an eye out for any property going on the market and I’m more motivated than ever to finish my PhD. 🙂

Okay- that’s all for now…time to work on my Lab website.

Cheers!

David

  1. Thank you for sharing your experience. I will be having this same surgery in the morning. I am a pretty healthy 65 year old who feels fortunate that this was found and can be fixed and then get on with life and mine is only about a third as big as yours was. And mine is on the other side of my head. I’ve already had my hair cut really short and will probably take my Tennesse Titans hat with me to wear afterwards.

Again, thank you for sharing and it is so good to see you looking and doing so good. Enjoy your life.
