Digiscoping the World Series of Birding

I’ve been offline awhile, since participating in the World Series of Birding on Sunday. Our team, Double Exposure, competed in the new Digiscoping category. We took third place (behind Nikon and Swarovski) by digiscoping 102 species of birds between the hours of 5:30am and 7:30pm on May 13th. This photograph is of a Curlew Sandpiper I photographed on May 12th, at the impounded area at Heislerville, on the northern Delaware Bay shore.
"Pinky" the Curlew Sandpiper (Calidris ferruginea)
There were two Curlew Sandpipers present over the last week, this one (we called Pinky) and another in full breeding plumage that we called “Rojo Grande”, or “Big Red”. I’ve posted images of both, plus some others from the competition and the days of scouting beforehand on my flickr site.
