Nuttin’ Honey

Interestingly, the surface winds dominated last night’s non-migration. While winds at 800mb were out of the northwest, those at the surface were strong and out of the east/southeast. Last night’s radar showed no migration over New Jersey, nor over the northeast as a whole. Monday night looks like the next possible migration event, with winds forecast out of the North.

    Dave garret was decent yesterday with the overcast conditions keeping all the birds at eye level feeding in the tangles.This is what we had, 2 blue winged,1 prarie,1 wormeating, 2 blackburnian, 10 to 12 chestnutsided, 5 magnolias,4 canadas, 20 redstarts,8 black throated green,3 blue gray gnats,3 yellowthroats,10 to 12 blackand whites,and a possible mourning that eluded me.These birds were in the park since thu or fri cause of the conditions.
