Very little migration last night

The weather minimized migration last night, as the front of storms pushed into our area early in the evening. The composite shows strong migration echoes over the Mid-Atlantic, with some movement into southern Pennsylvania, but most stopping short of entering either PA or NJ. This is setting us up for a big push tonight, as winds are forecast to turn southerly this evening. Birding conditions should remain stable from yesterday.

Good Birding

One response to “Very little migration last night”

  1. A lot of activity this morning at the Celery Farm compared to yesterday morning. 7 warbler species to yesterday’s 2–highlighted by my FOY BT GREEN (2+) and NASHVILLE (occasional here in spring)
Also about twice as many Yellow-rumps as yesterday–with many feeding on or near the ground–nice little “mini” fallout
