No migration over Jerze

Since no migration was apparent on the local radar last night, I’m only posting the regional composite. Here it is from sunset last night through 5:30am this morning.

Frames are every 1/2 hour for reflectivity and velocity, and every hour for the regional composite. Click on the thumbnail to view the full-sized animation.

Sandwiched between the low pressure to our south and high pressure over the region, winds have turned more easterly to northeasterly, stifling migration over the mid-Atlantic. Migration did occur, however, in the northeastern US where winds were more favorable.

Good Birding

P.S. Come check out my migration forecast for the Mid-Atlantic on Birdcapemay.org
