Sorry but cannot support this, as we have to balance hunting with conservation, and vice versa, along with other matters that may come along.
If our forefathers did not hunt we would not be here today – fact!
However, in today’s world if we (as humans) have caused an unbalance between preditors (like wolves, bears, etc.) and their prey, which might make their numbers grow so that they become over populated then they cannot find enough food naturally and turn to other ‘unnatural’ habitats then why should we not try to control their numbers, especially since the inbalance was most likely caused by us in the first place.
This is something that I find very troubling these days, most conservationist seem to have myopia along with tunnel vision and do not look at the bigger picture. Oh they will tell you that you need to look at the bigger picture but usually theirs is smaller than the real BIG picture.
i.e. check for agendas first before jumping on the band-wagon.

I’m not advocating not hunting, as I agree that hunting is still an important tradition as well as a means for many people to provide food for themselves and their families (Alaska has a wonderful subsistence rights program which I fully support). Personally I am a hunter here in NJ, and also a conservationist, and also an advocate for the humane treatment of wildlife. In my honest opinion, aerial hunting of wolves is entirely inhumane and unnecessary and has no productive goal which I can identify (wolf is a very undesirable table meat, so what’s the point of hunting them unless their populations were so out of control as to threaten you or your livestock…which they’re not, by the way).
Painting conservationists as near-sighted and narrow-minded couldn’t be farther from the truth. In many respects I find that conservation-minded individuals do see the big picture… they’re the ones who for years have been talking about peak oil and the major effects of climate change, whereas only recently has the public at large begun to accept these issues as facts needing to be addressed.
As for this video, yes, I’m fully aware of Defenders for Wildlife agenda- which is why I support them. Most people, on the other hand, aren’t fully aware of Palin’s agenda, which is why I posted this in the first place.
