Few birds overnight

Light southerly winds to the north, and easterly winds to the south, appear to have discouraged any major migration last night. Here’s the radar from 7:00pm last night through 5:00am this morning.

Despite the suboptimal wind conditions, the radar did show some southerly movement last night. Because the density of southbound traffic was light, I don’t expect much appreciable change at any particular location.

I’ve posted an updated migration forecast for the rest of the weekend on Birdcapemay.org, and if the weather acts as predicted, we could see some very good birding conditions by Sunday morning.

Good Birding
