More migration over the mid-Atlantic

North winds and clear skies made for another fine night of migration. Here’s the radar from 7:00pm last night through 5:00am this morning.

North winds and clear skies across the region last night mean that many new birds will have arrived at many migrant hotspots this morning. Inland sites will be better than coastal ones today, due to the easterly component to the winds. Inland hawk watches should be good today as well.

Good Birding

  1. I was inland both Saturday and Sunday – Sat. seemed to me the bigger migration day. Sparrows and ducks, I suppose, for the next month or so!
