No migration

Southerly flow at all elevations last night, coupled with some locally heavy precipitation along the Mid-Atlantic coast, appears to have kept any appreciable migration at bay for the second night in a row. Look for surface winds to slacken over the weekend and let a few migration-ready birds into the system, but the real flights will begin once the next front clears the western half of the region sometime on Sunday and finally the coast on Monday morning.

Good Birding!
