Last Saturday…

I was photographing our annual Run For The Woods fundraiser at the Frank G. Helyar Woods (part of the Rutgers Gardens). I love this guy’s display of school spirit! If you can’t read the writing on the paper pinned to his shirt- it says “IMUS SUCKS”

This is an awesome resource! I was able to find the subspecies of the Seaside Sparrow which I study in Florida by searching for the latin name down to the subspecific epithet (Ammodramus maritimus mirabilis). By using the free RavenViewer software (just click on “visualize” instead of “listen” when you are given the choice, and follow the instructions for installing it) you can view the real-time spectrogram and waveform as the sound file plays…this is very very cool!

I can’t wait to show our students!!!
