  • Little migration over Jerze

Another night of light migration over the Garden State. Here’s the radar from sunset last night through sunrise this morning:

  • Migration Light

Last night the radar indicated that a light nocturnal flight took place just after sunset and continued through the early morning hours. Here’s the radar.

  • Nothing last night; tonight looks better

Nothing moving last night, with winds out of the south. Looks like we could see the shift back to north winds tonight, and if the weather clears we may see some migration.

  • Birds aloft

Nice conditions last night (north breeze, clear moonlit sky) made for some nice nocturnal migration. Here’s the radar loop…I gotta run! Good Birding!

  • As the north winds blows…

so too shall the birds! Keep an ear to the air tonight- you might just hear some birds overhead (although it’s much better once we’ve had a frost and the bugs aren’t making such a racket!)
