Another Big Movement over NJ

The northerly winds and clear skies keep the Northeast under some great migration weather. Last night the radar showed the same general pattern: High densities of birds leaving the state of NJ, and a continued movement of birds over the state through sunrise. Again, no weather over our area to bring birds down, so pick your favorite Fall migration spot and bird hard!

Now for the radar:

One response to “Another Big Movement over NJ”

  1. As David has stated, no weather to put big numbers over Palmyra, Burlington County where I
birded for 2 1/2 hours this morning. Not many numbers and not much variety. Especially
    compared with Wed. morning.
Had 5 Redstarts, 1 Yellow, 1 Tennessee, 1 Common Yellowthroat, 3 Black and White Warblers,
    1 Yellow-bellied Flycatcher, 12 Baltimore Orioles, 2 Gnatcatchers, 1 Pewee. Another birder
had some of this and a Phoebe, a Black-throated Green Warbler, and 2 Connecticut Warblers.
