Fall migration study nearing the end

Hello,

I just wanted to let you know that I’ll be wrapping up the Fall Migration Radar Study at the end of this week. This fall has been quite exciting, and being able to run this site and communicate with the people who used it has been wonderful. I’ve really grown fond of the blog format and I will continue with it this spring. Thank you to all the people who posted comments to the site with their observations, comments, inquiries, and interpretations; it is because of you that the site has become such a huge success. Over the winter I will focus on merging the data from last spring into the archives at Woodcreeper.com, as well as attempt to write a more stable program to download the velocity and base reflectivity data. I will also be posting regularly to the site on topics other than radar and migration, so please come back often and participate. Over the winter I hope to get my photo gallery up to date as well. In the meantime I hope to run into you all out there in the field, possibly down the shore scoping rafts of sea ducks, or up on Clinton Rd. scanning the spruces for winter finches. If we’re lucky by the time I see you again we’ll have a new president and some sound environmental policy on the way.

Cheers,

David
