And off they go! A high volume migration is underway this evening with some pretty good upper level winds out of the NW. The base reflectivity and velocity loops are from sunset through 10:30pm tonight. Migration will likely continue unabated until sunrise, setting up the coastal and ridge hotspots for the best concentrations of birds. I will post the morning radar update before 10am tomorrow, since I’ll be heading out first thing in the morning to see what shows up around my place. Good birding!
