Non-migration conditions

Little to nothing moving tonight. Winds are out of the Northwest.

Update: Nothing in the immediate forecast looks good for migration – which suggests that birding conditions will remain good around the state, with increased abundances in habitats of good quality for foraging and cover. The next push is looking like Saturday night, if the forecast holds. I’ll be away this weekend, so the last post will be on Friday. We should know better what the forecast holds by then. In the meantime, go birding!

    Daily Walk Report

    Date: 28-Mar-07 WindDesc: light Temp(F): 50

StartTime: 7:30 AM WindDir: NW CloudCover: none

    EndTime: 11:30 AM Location: HMF

Notes: Cold front came through around 9:45AM and wind
increased for about 30 minutes. Many birds around. No
detectable migration last night, but many new birds
appeared throughout the morning- probably local movements
in response to the cold front.
