No migration expected tonight

Nothing is moving on the radar tonight with all this storm activity and northwest winds across the state. During times of minimal migration, birds that are present will seek out and congregate in optimal foraging habitat. I won’t be posting the radar in the morning unless something changes- instead I’ll be headed to Sandy Hook for some seawatching.

Good Birding

Notes: Strong nor’easter over our area, came thorugh yesterday
and continues to pound us. Flooding in the forest is
extensive, and both bridges over Spooky Brook have
been knocked out. Birds were all over in the forest- on the
ground wherever the land was dry.
