Taking the morning off

Nothing (much) moving on the radar tonight- so I’m going to <gasp> sleep in (!) tomorrow.

I’ll be back on Wednesday morning.

I’m not an expert at reading the radar, but it looks like we got some migration tonight

Well, there’s nothing like a watchdog to keep one honest! :)
Indeed, there was a very small push of birds over NJ yesterday. The velocity image (not shown) showed movement in both north and south directions, the south moving targets most likely being non-bird (blowing with the wind) and the northbound ones most likely being birds. Activity was short-lived, stopping before midnight. I wouldn’t expect that level of movement to be detectable on the ground, so I left the post as

“…nothing (much) moving on the radar tonight…”

Thanks for pointing it out, though!

    Cheers
