Moderate migration last night

Getting these posts out on time is becoming increasingly difficult with my new fatherly sleeping patterns… so I’m not sure how long this Fall season is going to last on woodcreeper.com. Migration was moderate last night with mose movement heading NW->SE, making Cape May a good choice this morning. Inland sites might see some good birds, based on my morning walk which included BLACKPOLL WARBLER, Black-throated Green Warbler, American Redstart, Black-and-white Warbler, Swamp Sparrow, and Red-eyed Vireos.

  1. Based on your report this AM. one can assume that Inga had the baby recently? Congratulations!!
We all enjoy your reports but we will live if you can’t keep doing the reports daily. You might consider doing the AM report a little later in the morning if this would be easier for you. In any case happy parenthood to you and Inga.

  2. ^ Agreed! Again Congrats David, and it’s a gorgeous name! It’s got me thinkin baby names if I so choose to make that sort of commitment!

  3. According to weather.com, winds in my area were pretty much WSW last night. Nevertheless, there were clear skies and I could hear from my window many “seet” and “tsip” calls of warblers and sparrows as well as the spring peeper-like calls of Swainson’s Thrush. I live on the 22nd floor of an apartment building, so when migration is happening, I can usually hear at least a few birds. What websites do you recommend for getting weather info?
