Nothing apparent on the radar last night, although it was pretty messy so there could have been something going on there. Either way, most of the movement across the radar was from east to west, which rarely (if ever) indicates avian migration over New Jersey.
Just a friendly reminder, Snakes on a Plane opens today…see you there?
Also, first Blue-gray Gnatcatcher in the yard this morning, and most of the breeding warblers seem to be gone as of the beginning of the week (Blue-winged, Yellow, Prairie).
So last weekend Inga and I went to see The Motorcycle Diaries, and as I left the theater I couldn’t help but think that this was the best movie I’d seen in several years. It may have had something to do with the awesome South American scenery, or the gritty nostalgic overall feeling, but I tend to think it was the process that took place, in the mind of Ernesto Guevara, over the course of that year .
The spark. That one experience that inevitably fosters a change of course throughout ones life.
Anyway, without trying to get too deep (or spoiling any of the movie), I simply wanted to recommend it to anyone looking for a good flick.
In the meantime, I’ve dusted off my copy of Compañero: The Life and Death of Che Guevara, by Jorge G. Castañeda…I’ll let you know how that turns out in a later post.
