That cold front from last night is hanging over the Carolinas now, keeping migration to our immediate south to a minimum while the birds are leaving Jersey and Delaware on the light south winds. I like to call this the “Hoover Effect”…you can almost hear the yard getting less birdy! Hopefully some of the birds from South Jersey will make it up here by tomorrow. The only new bird in the yard for a few days was a single, singing Common Yellowthroat this evening.
