Here’s the radar from sunset last night through sunrise this morning.
Frames are every 1/2 hour for reflectivity and velocity, and every hour for the regional composite. Click on the thumbnail to view the full-sized animation.

While the general direction of movement across the radar was from E–>W, you can see from the velocity image that the trajectory changes from NE –> SW as birds take to they sky. This would suggest that whatever birds did move, did so from the coast to the central region of the state. Because birds will be so dispersed across the landscape, it’s hard to tell if these movements will manifest as large concentrations inland, or simply less birds along the coast. All reports are welcome!
Good Birding
